Record producer and songwriter Jim Greer faced one of life's most difficult challenges - his infant son was diagnosed with a deadly cancer at only 18 months old. Jim & his family fought with their son Teddy for 2 1/2 years only to lose him in December 2012 at the age of 3 1/2. While enduring this challenge Jim reflected on many aspects of his life - stories, dreams, writings and poems that seemed to somehow connect into a seamless web of his own making, and allowing him to find hope for his and his families' future even in the darkest hours. This book is a dual timeline of sorts, relating the challenges faced by such an awful cancer and Jim's telling of numerous stories from his life as a musician and artist. Philosophy, religion, life, death and the struggle to maintain sanity are all part of the dialogue contained in this insightful work of non-fiction.
