Catalina's historical events in chronological order are the same as those of other American cities along the Pacific coast. But, the development of an island city in, the Pacific ocean reveals a few "highlights" not common to other communities. Scientists have spent weeks and months studying the geological formations, the botany and the origin of Catalina.
