Navigating A Triple Pandemic (The Educator's Edition) is an installation of personal and powerful stories written by Black and Brown FRONTLINE WORKERS who have dedicated their lives and their passion as champions for our community by working with children and their families. The 10 men and women featured here have been heroes, showing up each day during the COVID-19 crisis to confront racism in America, disparities in education, and the trauma of disaster imposed on our classrooms both pre- and post-pandemic.\nTheirs are stories that would normally go untold, of perseverance, strength, and character. In a rare moment of vulnerability and authenticity, they share details of adversity, tragedy, triumph, and resolve and the outcome is endearing and empowering. Many of us can still recall our first teachers because of the impact they had on our minds and the influence they held in our hearts. In this world of thankless professions, teaching is among the most neglected and least compensated, so this book is in honor of them, their sacrifice, and their valor in the classrooms and as advocates beyond the school walls.
