Liberal in Lubbock

The national media enjoys making fun of Lubbock and some of it is well-deserved. Some of it is not. About the same time that Lubbock was labeled the second most conservative city in America, the embarrassments in the press became more frequent and Lubbock was in the news for all the wrong reasons. There had to be something that could be done to pull the State of Texas out of its conservative hole. Liberal in Lubbock is a compilation of three years of writing for change; a sincere and honest attempt to bring both Texas and Lubbock back to its senses and away from the anger and closed mindedness. The rigid conservative bubble is preventing us from fulfilling our potential as a city and state. Here’s to bursting that bubble!
