Bigotry, brutality, murder and love are the common threads that formed an alliance between three unique women in the small town of Harmony, North Carolina. The town is nestled in the foothills of Blackheart Mountain and held quite a few secrets during the 1940's. Sady Milsap: Strong, independent, hardworking and caring. Sady thought love died when her husband did. A kidnapping and perseverance brought Sady to Baltimore, Maryland where she meets Detective Alec Karastaupolis of the Baltimore City Police Department and her life starts to change against her antiquated frame of mind. Eva Prestel: Fragile, meek, scared and dependent. Eva lives a life of abuse. She is not the only one that is mistreated. Her son and daughter are also the targets for abuse and molestation by her bully of a husband, Roby. Her decision to leave the abuse is over-showed by the fear that her husband has infused in her mind. Willow Moone: Fearless, crafty, stubborn with a heart of gold. Willow stands up for the underdog because she and her family were the underdog for so many years. The tragedy in her lifetime gives her the strength to fight for what she believes is the right way to treat others and live your life.
