The Castaways of the Flag

Volume 47 of 54 of Jules Verne's "Extraordinary Voyages", first printed in 1900. Jules Verne had a special interest in men and women in situations of survival. This tale explores this theme on a deserted island in his take on the events following “The Swiss Family Robinson.” A number of people are marooned on such an island as the conflict shifts from survival from nature to survival from the wicked men who put them there in the first place.
