Aristotle was one of history's greatest philosophers and one of Ancient Greece's seminal thinkers, a student of Plato's and a tutor of Alexander the Great's. Aristotle's book on Poetics is the earliest surviving work on dramatic theory and the first philosophical look at literary theory.
