Finding God in Nature: Primitive Earth Based Religion

To understand nature is to realize the essence of God. All religions began with an awe of nature which is an awe of creation and the creator. As we began to unravel the truths of nature we began to unravel an understanding of what we are and where we are. Mainstream religions have taken this awe of nature and embellished it with conjecture. Thus, instead of the natural world which is truth we have the supernatural which is speculation and wishful thinking. The primitive practice of appeasing unseen gods continues today in modern religion. If we do not understand some earthly phenomena, there is no longer a need to create a mythology to explain it. The eternal questions have yet to be answered. Finding God in Nature illustrates how our ancestors attempted to find these answers.
