Overcoming Stuff

Overcoming Stuff tells the captivating story of a near-death experience and God’s faithfulness to provide the strength to walk through the valley of death. This book shows God’s hand moving through the trials of a serious car accident and tells the story of God’s peace and comfort amid the trial. It then searches the scriptures for principles that God has established to give us victory over the stuff in our lives. May this story of one man’s experience and search for God richly bless your life and encourage you. May some of the principles God has shown through His Word and the application of those principles encourage you and give you strength in the face of the stuff of life.“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Overcoming Stuff was written to proclaim the truth that God has overcome the world and wants to give us victory over every situation in our lives so that we, too, can overcome stuff. First John 5:4 tells us that “everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” So, as believers in Christ, we have already overcome the world and all the stuff in it. And if you have faith that Jesus is the Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead, then you can overcome anything with the grace you have received from God.Overcoming Stuff tells my story encourages you to overcome the stuff that opposes you through the grace that God will give you in your time of need. You don’t have to be afraid when stuff happens because God is ever-present and always bigger than anything that happens. “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry” (1 Corinthians 10:13-14).
