The Little Town: A Series of Memories
Description:
This collection of essays compiled from my now defunct blog, "Notes from an Eclectic Mind," are more memoir than history. If you, my reader, were there . . . if you knew these people, or saw them another way . . . those are your memories. These are mine. I want more to capture the essence of days past, of a time when I knew remarkably genuine people in the small town of Junction, Texas. These nostalgic impressions, however, are not just for the folk who lived at some point in their lives between the North and South Llano Rivers, or for those who live there still. They are for anyone who thinks often of a well-remembered place, of well-remembered people, and for whom those memories form indispensable threads in their life's tapestry. We are all the product of our "raising." Mine was both colorful and comfortingly old-fashioned. I wouldn't have missed a minute of it.
