Singled Out, the inaugural effort by first time author Denise follows our heroine Shanice Monroe as she navigates her way through the maze that is family, love, friendship and business. She takes the reader with her on a journey that features the divorce of her parents Sam and Marsha (with an affair and a love child thrown in the mix). Shanice's best friend Sharron and Sharron's relationship with budding businessman Renny Clemmons and the gruesome murder of Sharron's abusive mother Gwyn.
