The Interior Castle or The Mansions

Inspired by her vision of the soul as a diamond in the shape of a castle containing seven mansions, St. Teresa interpreted this vision as a journey of faith through seven stages, ending with union with God. The Interior Castle is widely considered to be one of the greatest works on spiritual development, and continues to attract new generations to the visions of St. Teresa of Avila.
