Ghosts

Ghosts is a play by the playwright Henrik Ibsen. Ibsen disliked the translated title ('Ghosts'), whereas "Gengangere" would be more accurately translated as "The Ones who Return". The story is centered on Helene Alving, who has a son called Osvald, who falls in love with Regina Engstrand, his mother's maid, who is revealed to be an illegitimate daughter of Captain Alving, his father.
