Fear Itself

It’s the late 1930s. Whilst America pulls itself out of the Depression, war threatens in Europe. But there is pressure to stay out of the fight in America, with its forty million citizens of German ancestry. Special Agent Jimmy Nessheim, in the fledgling FBI, is assigned to infiltrate a new German-American organisation. The BUND, ardently pro-Nazi, is conspiring to sabotage President Roosevelt’s efforts to stop Hitler’s advance. Nessheim’s investigation probes deeply into the BUND, revealing something more sinister at work, seemingly in connection with the White House. Drawn into Washington’s high society, Nessheim becomes tangled in a web of political intrigue.
