Tad Strong's bold attempt to capture the outlaw king in his own domain, and make his escape, had gone badly wrong. In retreat, he was propped against the wall; pinned down, surrounded, and hopelessly outnumbered. Overwhelmed by the constant barrage of bullets and splintering wood - he was doomed.
