Brooks Harbor is a small seaside village along the Maine coast. A close proximity to the sea defines it. Lives revolve around the age of sail and the fortunes of the sea. Villagers are merchant mariners, crew or shipbuilders. If one doesn't live directly off the ocean, they depend upon it or profit from it. Among the next generation of these Brooks Harbor natives are Sammy Jones, Albert Miller and Sarah Dyer. They are offspring of that environment. Mills, an award-winning journalist. His ancestors were part of Maine's rich maritime history. This tale is based loosely on that family history.
