Quit Your Worrying
Description:
George Wharton James (1858 – 1923) was a lecturer and journalist. He wrote many books on California and the Southwest. He came to the United States and became a Methodist minister in the Southwest. His wife sued him for divorce. He subsequently underwent an ecclesiastical trial, charged with real estate fraud, using faked credentials, and sexual misconduct. He was defrocked, although he was later reinstated. James experienced several months of what might now be called a mental breakdown. When James was on his way to recovery he determined that he must commit to a life without so much worry. This book is the result of his journey away from worry.
