At the Scent of Water

Marshal Enrique Sanchez, his finger testing the arid desert wind, feels a gust of trouble coming to the town of Chuparrosa, Arizona. The lavish golfing development, growing like wildfire west of town, is sucking water from the aquifer, and frantic homeowners on the surrounding hills find their wells have gone dry. After a town meeting turns savage, Chuparrosa is suddenly plagued by mischief. As the violence escalates, frightened residents begin putting their homes up for sale. A long-planned festival to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of Chuparrosa brings throngs of visitors to the small town. Stretched to their limits to control the unleashed fury, Marshal Sanchez and his team of deputies must put together a last-ditch search for a shadowy criminal with evil on his mind.
