Character Assassination

John Noble, a Western novelist, was struggling with his writing career. He’d been in a slump and feared ever getting out of it. Then Diana Faire showed up. She offered him a writing deal. The assignment was ideal for his career, maybe a little quirky, but a dream come true despite the quirks. It was the answer to his career prayers. He would turn the corner and be back on top. Then Diana turns up dead on his property. Her clothes are found in his truck. John is a suspect. The police think he killed her. A lot of people think he did. Suspicion has a life of its own. John has to convince everyone that he didn’t kill Diana. He liked her; she was distracting to his work, but he liked her anyway. He is certain that he didn’t kill her. Well almost certain.
