Ms. Pallottaâs affection for others inspired her to write Now Is The Time. In it, the main character, Sarah Calotti, learns she must have an operation. âUntil this moment I believed nothing ever could be as difficult to cope with as my childhood. For the first time since Iâd grown up and left home, I was dumbstruck, powerless. I needed a strength I didnât have, a toughness my pseudo shell couldnât provide,â Sarah says. However, before she leaves the doctorâs office, Sarah meets a new friend, Meza. From that day on their paths cross. Meza sticks by Sarah, encouraging her to re-establish a close relationship with God to find the courage she needs for major surgery. She also helps Sarah deal with reoccurring frustrations concerning her father, Harry McAllister. With Mezaâs guidance Sarah learns that faith and forgiveness can overcome lifeâs imperfections.
