Sons of Yocahu: A Saga of the Tainos' Devastation on Hispaniola

This is a work of historical fiction. It begins when an ancient cacique is warned in a vision that his people of the island of Hispaniola would soon be killed. When Christopher Columbus later arrives, he discovers the magnificent culture of the Tainan people, who believe in peace, because of the teachings of their great zemie, Yocahu. Also arriving with Columbus are many Europeans who bring with them brutal assumptions of superiority. Will the Taino tradition of peace be destroyed by that brutality? Or will the Europeans who claim to worship the "Prince of Peace" learn from those they conquer? The answers depend not on the culture, but on the quality of the individual Sons of Yocahu.
