My Escape from Donington Hall (Illustrated Edition)

This German aviator was the only prisoner of war to escape back to Germany from Britain during World War I. First published in 1922, this book tells of his escape and is preceded by an account of the siege of Kiao-Chow in 1914 in which he was also involved.
