Mohammed Ali and His House (An Historical Romance)

Luise Muhlbach is the pseudonym given to the 19th century writer Austrian Clara Mundt. Mundt wrote over 50 novels. She is best known for her historical romances. Mohammed Ali was born in 1769 in the Ottoman territory, which is now Greece. He is considered the founder of modern Egypt. The dynasty he established would rule Egypt and Sudan until the Egyptian Revolution of 1952. This era forms the backdrop for Muhlbach's story.
