The Mrs. Potts' Sad Iron Collector's Guide

A tribute to Mrs. Potts for her invention of the Cold Handle Sad Iron that changed the clothing iron industry. Her invention was so popular that multiple clothing iron producers soon produced their own line(s) of her irons. This book will exhibit the multiple Mrs. Potts' sad iron that exist. Mrs. Mary Florence Potts of Ottumwa, Iowa, (1850/51-1922) received two patents for her "Cold Handle Sad Iron". Her first patent: May 24, 1870, "Doubled Pointed Iron". Her second patent: April 4, 1871, "Cold Handle". Her patents revolutionized clothing iron production in America.
