Secondly, we have „E ko erXvca, in 2 Co 213 l9 76, Eom 52--outside nmKa-paul only in Mk 51S We must j tninkj treat all the Pauline passages alike, though Blass believes the perfect justifiable except in 2 Co 213. It seems clear that an aorist would suit all passages in 2 Co; and in the first of them it seems hopeless to squeeze a natural perfect force into the Greek:1 an aorist would suit Mk I.e. perfectly, but that matters less. Now, if we may take them together, we can see an excellent reason why earjKa should have been used as an aorist.
