He was a zealous Copier after his Master JVhitgift, not only in defending the Hierarchy, but in prosecuting those who opposed it: 'tis no wonder therefore the Dissenters when thus irritated, mould load him with Reproaches; whilst those on the other hand who were Favourers thereof, set no bounds to their Commendations.
