Europe in the XIX Century (1815–1914)

First published in 1928, as the third edition of a 1916 original, this book was written to provide the general reader with a guide to the history of Europe from the aftermath of the Battle of Waterloo up until the outbreak of World War One. Throughout the text a chronological perspective is maintained, so as to show how various European trends, such as German and Italian unification, advanced together.
