Highland Park, Illinois, USA, and Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, have been Sister Cities for over 16 years. A relationship that began by connecting cities has evolved into a unique relationship between people. Through a variety of educational, cultural, sports and humanitarian exchanges, it has become clear that our connection transcends geography and politics. We are one people who share the same values. This book, a collaboration by members of both Sister Cities committees, examines individuals in both countries who have demonstrated those values.
