The traditional psycho-education evaluations either use the discrepancy model or some combination of curriculum-based measurement/response to treatment to determine whether a student is in need of more intensive educational services and programing. Unfortunately, these quantitative approaches do not help the educational team determine WHY the student is struggling to find success in the classroom.
