Having been hospitalized so many times due to Lupus Flares, I was now being rushed in to surgery due to internal bleeding. I couldn’t seem to pray; tremendous fear took over and I found myself afraid of dying. I began to cry and looked for my husband, who had stepped out of the room. Not knowing what to do, I reached for the phone to call my mom and dad for prayer. My mind went blank. I couldn’t seem to remember their phone number. Helpless tears fell down my face. Suddenly, the phone rang; it was my sister. She said, “God told me to call you, Sis. He told me to pray for you.” I was in such need of peace and comfort! She prayed so powerfully and then ended with, “God, please send down your angels to protect my sister, to assure her you are with her right now.” At that very moment I saw a vision of an angel dressed in armor of gold with a scepter in his right hand. He did not say a word to me, but with a strong smile looked down at me in love.
