The Secret Room

Maddie and Kitty love to go and read books to the children at the local library. One day Al, Sal, and all their animal friends decide to follow and watch. They notice that Dewey, the library dog, slips into a secret room. When all the children follow Dewey, Maddie and Kitty have no one left to read to! Curious, Al, Sal and their pals set out to learn what is happening in THE SECRET ROOM!

The Secret Room was inspired by the real life Reading Dogs who do wonderful work in libraries all around America, helping children to develop a confidence and love of reading. Nancy Gee was delighted to discover reading dogs at work in her own local libraries while she was doing readings for her first two books, The Secret Drawer and The Secret Path, and the idea for The Secret Room was born!
