A River to Cross: A Story of Life

A book about life, sobriety, and the amazing grace of God with a real look at what life is like for a little boy growing in the rural South in the 1950s to 1970s. A “River To Cross” is a story of life, it is insightful, funny, tragic and filled with the one true and sure hope that we all have in life and for eternity - Jesus Christ. Alcoholism is a powerful and destructive foe and to win this great battle I felt I had to honestly and carefully examine my own life from earliest memories to date. This book was begun as an effort to stay sober and was finished to honor God and tell the real story of what it is like to finally cross the river of life sober and at peace, thanks be to God! The book is also an in-depth look at who God is, who He calls us to be and how we should live our lives in light of God’s call.
