The Soul of Glory (The Storytellers)

The Storytellers have selected the records of the human settlement of planet Glory as their next forum subject. The tale describes the coming-of-age adventure of a young man and a young woman when they are designated as the first contact ambassadors with a sentient machine trying to revive the sentient creatures indigenous to the planet at the end of an Ice Age. The settlement consists of six colonies, each with its own distinctive social norms based on religious identities carried from Earth to this alien world. Trouble lurks in old prejudices concealed beneath a veneer of communal cooperation.
