A Preposterous Alibi: A Winslow & Fitzgerald Investigations Mystery

A unique take on the affectionate sleuthing duo, A PREPOSTEROUS EXCUSE is a traditional historical mystery featuring young feminist companions Evelyn Winslow and Flora Fitzgerald. The story takes place in 1928 during the seemingly carefree time between the wars, and is set in San Francisco, an especially high-spirited city, a place where no one seems to care if the body of a presumed prostitute is dumped in a dark alley in Chinatown. No one, that is, until Evelyn and Flora hear about the death from their Chinese housekeeper. Horrified at the injustice, the two young women step up to piece together the puzzle of the identity of both the victim and her killer.
