Climatized

Climatized is a memoir by Michael Anthony Williams. Born in North Carolina to a loving two parent household, life was all peaches and cream for Michael and his two brothers at a young age. However, with the disbanding of his family and the absence of his father, Michael world was torn apart. Left to be raised by his often absent mother and the ever present influence of movies, music, and the streets, young Michael became enamored with the street life. Before long, he was a full fledged gangster with ties to killers, dealers, and hustlers of all kinds. Before long, Williams found himself in jail at the age of 19 serving a 16 year sentence for 2nd degree murder. With all of this time to reflect, Michael embarked on a search for knowledge that would provide him insight to the who's, why's, when's, where's and how's of how he and so many other young black men ended up in his situation. He learned that many influences contributed to the daily lives of those who lived in America, many of which were only apparent on the subconscious level. Things like racism, family, government, religion, food, poverty, classicism, slavery, sex, technology, media and other aspects of life, Williams discovered, mold and shape our lives more than we ever know. Climatized is the culmination of years of research and Williams own personal experiences on his path to enlightenment.
