Tour of the Electromagnetic Spectrum

This heavily-illustrated resource introduces electromagnetic waves, their behaviors, and how scientists visualize these data. Each region of the spectrum is described and illustrated with engaging examples of NASA science. It presents the electromagnetic spectrum by introducing interactions with these waves on a daily basis and how NASA scientists use the unique qualitites of each wavelength to study the sun, planets, and origins of the universe. EM (Electromagnetic) waves mneasured by Earth-observing satellites help NASA scientists understand our Earth System and changing global patterns and climate.
