As an undergraduate, Bill was a reluctant student, but found his pace in graduate school where he became fascinated with hypnosis and psychology. He became a teacher and married the love of his life, Alex. Both he and Alex taught school in Saudi Arabia. Teaching gets complicated when Bill is arrested as a Jewish spy. He escapes on the Red Sea by sailing a fourteen-foot Arab dhow to freedom. His daring three-week trek on the Red Sea is only one of many adventures. The novel is based on true events during Dr. Williams' tenure as an educator in Saudi Arabia.
