Designed as a translational guide, this CYBER-CENTER FOR BIBLICAL STUDIES eBook for translating 1 John isolates independent and dependent clauses, provides tips for translating 1 John, and shares exegetical explanations to assist in the translation of the first of John's letters. The book divides into three parts. First, Bateman and Peer provide an introduction whereby they prepare readers for translating 1 John. Second, they divide the letter into fifteen manageable units for translating 1 John while providing contextual orientation for each unit of thought. Finally, They make available an answer key with detailed exegetical explanations about his divisions and translation of the text.Translating 1 John Clause by Clause interacts with lexicons, grammars, and English translations in order to orient the reader/translator to the challenges that come with translating John's first letter.
