Newly married in 1995, Diann Cruickshank and her husband Carl embarked on an adventure together as the owners and innkeepers of The Secret Bed and Breakfast Lodge in the small southern town of Leesburg, Alabama. She was a woman from the South married to a man from waaaay up north which added its own humorous flavor to the situations they encountered.

After sixteen years of hosting guests, Diann and Carl decided to sell The Secret and retire. They realized that along the way they had accumulated some very funny stories and didn’t want to risk forgetting any of them. With encouragement from Carl, Diann began to write the stories in a journal and eventually made the decision to share them. And she has told ALL!
