William L. "Bill" Nash was born in Beaumont, Texas and raised in DeRidder, Louisiana. He is a graduate of DeRidder High School. Also, he briefly attended McNeese State University. He is Married to the former Leona Russell of Turkey Creek, Louisiana. Bill is an ordained Pentecostal Pastor at Mangham, Louisiana. This is his first book. Pastor Nash has a deep love for Louisiana History. High Hat Sam represents how a rural Louisiana young man can grow up and become governor of the state.
