50 true life animal survival stories that will inspire every pet owner. Author Row Henson takes us on the journey of several dogs and cats, a pot-bellied pig, some horses, a couple of goats, an alpaca, a Siberian tiger and many more furry (and feathered) friends and the humans who love them. Each story is accompanied by wonderful photographs of the animals after they survived life-threatening illnesses and injuries thanks to the heroic efforts of the staff at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Author Row Henson's own beloved dog Mac was healed by the loving care provided by the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital, which allowed the duo to continue their world travels as chronicled (by Mac herself!), in "Travels with Mac 'N' Row." It was out of this vet care experience, and with deep gratitude, that Henson spent three years interviewing other fur-families to discover the remarkable stories of their own pets' survival. Each short story also includes clinically accurate information that Henson hopes will help animal owners find hope as they navigate the care of their own cherished pets. All proceeds of "Miracles on College Station Road," benefit the Mac 'N' Row Scholarship Fund to aid students of the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
