The Riddles of Existence

Inspired by the costume designs of New Orleans' century-old Carnival traditions, The Riddles of Existence lies somewhere between a book and a parlor game, a poetry collection and a fantastic display of visual art. Steeped in the mythology of Mardi Gras and New Orleans, The Riddles of Existence is object, text, and experience.
An oversized artist's deck of cards, fifty costumes illustrated within are each paired with a riddle in the form of a poem. Another card lists the answers, but not in any particular order. The reader-viewer-player must solve the puzzle of which title goes with which image. A process of elimination should result in The Riddles of Existence being solved.
