William Heath's Memoirs of the American War of Independence

From February 9th, 1775 to December 4th, 1783, Major-General William Heath, a native of Roxbury, Massachusetts (now Jamaica Plain) recorded the daily events of his command as well as the reports sent to him regarding the battles of the American War of Independence. His Memoirs form one of the most important first-hand accounts of the war, its battles, and the men who fought them.
