After Jesus was resurrected, he gave commandment to his disciples to spread the good news of salvation. Several of his Apostles wrote letters to certain churches, instructing them on the proper function of the newly born church. The Epistles are their letters, inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, and worthy to be received as the eternal word of God.
