The Day Jerzy Died

The Day Jerzy Died is the intense and moving tale of a Polish teenager whose life is shattered by fate as World War II erupts right over his head. He is forced to go to Germany as a human slave, working in a Nazi chemical factory, complete with toxic fumes, starvation, and loneliness. As a result, Jerzy faces his own mortality, and ultimately begins to question the meaning of life, as well as his own self-worth as he struggles to survive the cruelty and deprivation of the Nazi onslaught.
