Christina is struggling with middle age malaise and whether the spark in her empty nest marriage to Jeff has dimmed so much a slight breeze of discontent could snuff it out. The straight-laced accounting clerk abandons her tax season frenzied coworkers for a jaunt to the Texas Hill Country summer cabin of her childhood, now inherited and virtually abandoned. A flash flood leaves her stranded in the company of her old summertime beau Bud, who is divorced, wounded and looking for comfort. As Christina confronts her past, her vows, her faith and her future, Jeff decides to carry out his own plan back home without her knowledge. After she arrives home safe and somewhat sound, Christina’s new insight is tested by Bud’s unexpected arrival just when she and Jeff are beginning to see eye to eye. Jeff's Texas hospitality is tried when Bud moves into their grown son's old room. Will Jeff decide to carry out his plan? It may be the one thing God can use to get Bud out of his house and Christina back in his arms.
