Pioneer Parish

The story of Saint Anthony Parish is more than the simple story of a church-it's a tale of spiritual service, pride, and hard work that together built a Catholic church with a reach that extends around the world and into the 21st century. As the oldest Catholic Church in Broward County, Saint Anthony has a deep and illustrious history-at least for a region where pioneer times bagan around 1890 and continued well into the twentiety century. We're the third-oldest Catholic parish in South Florida, after Gesu in Miami and Saint Ann in West Palm Beach. Founded in 1921, with the school following five years later, Saint Anthony has been an important part of local history, not only for Catholics but for the larger community as well.
