Key Facts About the California Missions: A Complete Set of Laminated Pages

This set, which comes with a handsome cloth dust cover, consists of laminated back-to-back pages (8 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches) of key facts covering all 21 California Missions. Each sheet provides very detailed information on 23 topics ranging from official mission names and early history to names of Indian tribes whose members joined the mission, founding missionaries, prominent art, livestock counts etc. . On the back of the cover page is an exhibit showing the population of the missions, by decade from 1790 through 1832, just before secularization. Each page is generously illustrated with historic drawings, photographs, PLAT maps, architectural layouts and contemporary photographs. These included the first colorized versions of mission event drawings by Alexander Harmer. This material was developed with the help of over a dozen mission scholars, reviewed by each of the mission curators / staff, and carefully documented.
