Kendall's Storm

"Since the death of his grandparents two years ago, ten-year-old Kendall Ralston has been moved from one town to another with his father. Lonely and missing his mother and his twin sister whom he hasn't seen since age four, Kendall rescues a puppy who helps fill the void. When he learns his father is peddling drugs he leaves home and gets lost in a rain forest in western Washington. His rescue leads to placement in a foster home until it is demolished by a typhoon. One positive influence in Kendall's dreary life, a woman named named Lane, provides a home for him when his father is convicted and sent to prison. She shows him that he has choices for the way he lives his life.
