Sunk Cost: No Adult Supervision

Allison Little, Realtor for New Century Realty needs time off. Her favorite place to relax is her grandmother's home, Claim Jump, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Nothing happens in Claim Jump, which is why it is so appealing. Except during this visit Allison discovers that her Grandmother has been accused of embezzling funds from the City, an old boyfriend (Allison's, not her grandmother's) appears on the scene carrying an old secret, and Allison encounters a handsome new man who, unlike Ben Stone (Rock Solid Service), actually takes Allison out on dates. Yet, yet, Allison feels there is something odd about him. Then again, the residents of Claim Jump have always been a bit odd. And while she is away, an important escrow teeters on the verge of collapse. To make it all worse, a huge forest fire threatens the town. Twice. It occurred to her that spending the night on the roof with a garden hose in one hand and a martini in the other, while interesting, is not necessarily the best way to relax. Allison does not have time for this.
